Intro to Wet Plate Photography
​
In this one-day intensive workshop, participants will learn how to create in-camera tintypes using the wet collodion process. This workshop will focus on tintype photography, where a unique positive is created in-camera on a 4”x5” sheet of blackened metal. Students will learn the history of the process, techniques of preparing the plate, pouring collodion, exposing, developing, fixing,  and varnishing. Participants will work outdoors with natural lighting. The cameras, chemicals, and materials will all be supplied. Rain or shine!

Photographic Histories and Processes​

This course introduces students to the history of photography and historical photographic processes. It will familiarize the student with the key figures in photographic history and artistic movements throughout tis history while giving them hands on experience with antique photographic techniques.
