Please Rush Like Hell

Please Rush Like Hell is a project documenting found letters. After my grandpa's passing in 1996, I found an Army knapsack of letters in the bottom of his closet. The letters were written from 1944-1947 by my grandma while my grandpa was in the military. There are over 150 letters telling the story of a young woman growing up in Detroit, MI during WWII. Having never met my grandma, she died in 1963 at the age of 35, these are her stories of school, marriage, budgets, and a pregnancy from the point of view of a woman in the 1940’s.
